Sir Patrick Stewart has returned to the role of Captain Jean-Luc Picard for an epic season that has so far seen twists and turns as well as life-changing revelations and life-threatening situations.

We're now in the home stretch of the show with just the season 3 finale left to air in the UK, but the series has delighted fans so far, not least with all the cameos.

It's going out with a bang, with various icons from Star Trek: The Next Generation on board to see out the final episodes, while episode 9 featured a big twist about Jack's identity and the return of a particularly special old friend. If you know, you know.

Read on for everything you need to know about when new episodes of Star Trek: Picard are released.

Star Trek: Picard season 3 episode 10 release date

Star Trek: Picard season 3 episode 10 will be streaming on Prime Video from Friday 21st April.

It will be the final episode of the season and - prepare yourselves - the final episode of the series as a whole, with season 3 expected to the the show's last.

How many episodes are in Star Trek: Picard season 3?

Picard season 3 consists of 10 episodes.

The story so far has been completely wild, with threats from Changelings, as well as the reveal that Jack, Dr Beverley Crusher's son, is actually also Picard's son. Episode 9 saw even more revelations about Jack's identity, while some old friends have returned to see out the series.

We're expecting even more twists and turns in the finale episode, so watch this space!

While season 3 is billed to be the end for Picard, fans haven't given up on this story. In fact, plenty are behind the idea that a new spin-off, Star Trek: Legacy, focused on a bond between old and new characters across the generations of the Star Trek family, could very well be on the cards.

Showrunner Terry Matalas has been clear that nothing of the sort is in development just yet, telling SFX: "Shaw does not make it out alive. However, we do have plans for a Shaw character – specifically Todd Stashwick – to be a part of Legacy that I can’t talk about, but we always knew we would never do that show without Todd. So we had plans in place for that, should it ever happen. But there’s nothing in development, unfortunately.”

However, with the showrunner, cast, and fans on board, we're not ruling it out just yet.
